Zahara Goes Platinum In Just Two Weeks!

Zahara’s new album Country Girl is definitely breaking a few records in the South African music industry.

Her project went gold in 24 hours and now it has gone platinum in just two weeks! Clearly she has serious fans out there!

DJ Sbu took to Instagram to share the news of Zhara hitting the platinum mark. The DJ has been promoting Zahara’s album on his social media pages and it seems that it’s really worked in her favour.

Speaking about her success on Radio 2000 this morning, Zahara said: “I feel like people trust in me and they believe in me…” She adds that even though she didn’t release a single prior to launching the album, her fans were eager to hear her music.

“When I sit down and write an album it’s not about making hits or something, but I’m telling a story. I feel I have grown, maybe people were looking forward to that growth because they wanna know what’s been happening around me.”

She adds that she feels really blessed that people have been this supportive.
