Yolanda, the 32-year-old star whose real name is Eulenda Monyai, is living the dream she once only imagined as a child. Known for her appearance on Big Brother Mzansi, she’s now thriving in her career and taking on new opportunities she never expected.
In an interview with Daily Sun, Yolanda shared her excitement after hosting American rapper Rick Ross on her podcast. This experience has sparked an interest in music, and she’s now considering venturing into the music industry. “I’m going to use sounds or punchlines I said on the Big Brother show,” she revealed, adding that she will be doing an intro for Rick Ross’ upcoming album.
Although music wasn’t initially her career path, Yolanda has always had a passion for singing. “Even in the Big Brother house, I loved singing, and I’d annoy them with singing day and night. I love music and I love singing,” she said.
Reflecting on her journey, Yolanda expressed gratitude for the exposure she gained from Big Brother Mzansi. “I was working as a financial advisor and quit my job to go on the show. When I was evicted, I almost got demotivated, but listening to people like Denzel Washington and Viola Davis helped me with their motivational talks,” she shared.
One key piece of advice that stuck with her was, “In life, you don’t lose but learn.” Yolanda embraced this mindset, saying, “I took that and ran with it because it’s not the end of the world. As a human being, you make mistakes and learn from them. That’s exactly what I did.”
Now, Yolanda is putting everything she’s learned into practice. “From here, I’m going globally. Being with Rick Ross made me realise that stars are also people and human beings, which I didn’t think they were,” she said, reflecting on her growth and newfound perspective.
Yolanda’s journey shows that with hard work, a love for what you do, and the courage to take risks, dreams can become a reality.
