Watch! Tumi Morake Opens Up About Cheating In Her Marriage. The comedienne, host and actress recently got to sit down with MacG on his ‘Podcast And Chill With MacG’, where she talked about a plethora of things, writing her book, moving to America and her new movie ‘The Honeymoon’.
Speaking to MacG about her marriage to her husband, Mpho Osei Tutu whom she shares three kids with and has been married to for twelve years, Tumi revealed that their marriage was plagued by infidelity. Tumi revealed that her marriage was far from perfect and that they hand also gone through a bit of their own challenges.
Responding to MacG’s question about whether she and Mpho have an open marriage, Tumi said: “We don’t have such arrangements because we come from a place where we have had to deal with infidelity in our marriage.” A suprised and stunned MacG then asked, “From your side?” Morake answered saying, “From both sides. It’s in the book—this isn’t even a weird revelation. I knew about it but I kept quiet for a long time.”
She went on to add that the cheating was propelled by many factors, some of them being that they had suffered massive losses at that time and they just weren’t intune with each other. Her weight gain and body insecurity was also one of the major factors that contributed to her cheating. “He had suffered a massive loss and I had suffered a massive loss. I was at ‘my biggest weight of my life’. It’s probably part of the reason I kept quiet when I first found out,” Tumi added.
Morake further added that her husband cheating was not done with any bad intention as she reckons her husband is a wonderful and good man. On her part Tumi revealed that when she cheated, she had found someone she was on the same wavelength with. “I had found someone who looked at me differently, spoke to me differently and unfortunately lines were crossed,” Tumi admitted.
Tumi also stated that since their cheating there hasn’t been any other incidents of unfaithfulness. And if any incident of cheating were to occur then it would mean they permanently need to end their marriage.
