Watch! The Wife Actor Linda Majola Pays Tribute To His Castmates. The actor who first made his acting debut in 2022 on the drama series has taken to twitter to showcase the uniqueness of his colleagues as he reflected on the memories they made working together.
Linda played the role of Langa—Hlomu’s twin brother, a man having to deal with homophobes on a daily basis. A character that he says is not far fetched from who he is, as the character he played and his real life are in some way intertwined with his real life experiences. Speaking to News24, Majola said: “He’s really just navigating the new world that Langa is in and dealing with a lot of homophobia from the Zulu brothers. He’s not trying to fit in: he’s really saying, ‘This is who I am and this is my voice. It’s either, ‘You hear it or you just go away, you see. So Langa is honestly the embodiment of his name. He’s the sun.He brings sunshine. He brings the brightness to the room.”
The telenovela was up for 10 SAFTAs in September 2022, including for Best Telenovela, Directing, Cinematography, and Editing. The show has had some of its cohort of casts bidding farewell, with Majola captioning his video on Twitter, “I made this really cute video as a tribute to my fellow casts on The Wife. Lalela it’s been such a beautiful experience. So grateful ♥️🙂”
