Watch! Thando Thabethe Shares Why She Has Never Dated A White Man. The actress and media personality got to have a discussion with her colleagues, DJ Flex and Lerato Hoefelle about the issues surrounding wigs, scents and beauty.

Thando recently had an enlightening and insightful conversation on 947 radio’s ‘947 Drive With Thando’, about some of the ways women manage their hair, she also elucidated to DJ Flex one of the main reasons she hadn’t been romantically involved with a caucasian.

“Have you ever seen my natural hair? This is my actual hair now, if I am dating a white man do I take off my wig before or? At least with my black brothers know what it is. You can never sleep with a wig—it’s uncomfortable. So if it’s (wig) laid I will probably sleep with it for one night and by the second night I am enough. Then you take it off and the real you comes out, and you know I don’t want to shock you,” she explained.

“I mean there are many things we afraid to ask about people of other races. Black girls would sleep with a doek (scarf) every night. Personally, I don’t sleep with a doek, the only time I sleep with a doek is when I have an event the next day and I am trying to protect my hairstyle so it remains intact,” Thabethe concluded.
