Watch! Reality TV Star Tha Simelane Bags A New Acting Role. Entrepreneur and social media star Tha Simelane is among the A list names that come up when Durban’s elite local celebs come into play, and he now launching his acting career on one of Mzansi’s most loved telenovelas. Taking to Instagram, Tha revealed the exciting news of having bagged a new acting role on Uzalo.

Sharing a video of his debut on the show, Tha shared that he will be playing the character of Jasper and will be making his debut today at 20:30 on the SABC1 show. According to the Daily Sun publication, Simelane has been acting for over a decade but has only been receiving small roles.

This is a huge opportunity for the star and he will be playing a rich big shot thug from Jozi, who borrowed GC and Thobile his car. It seems as though this is not a permanent role since he mentioned that he wishes that the character had more of a life span, but he is grateful for the opportunity of appearing on one of south Africa’s most loved telenovela’s.

Simelane began his acting career on a Mzansi production titled Church Kwaito 2. He then expanded his acting with cameo’s on local productions that have aired on Mzansi Magic and other local channels. Tha has shared his hopes for more acting roles because he has a true passion for acting.
