Watch! Lasizwe Reveals His Cool New Hosting Gig. YouTube sensation Lasizwe Dambuza has been bagging all the wins this year and he has just made yet another major move. The Drink Or Tell The Truth host has hosted some pretty major events and red carpets but now he will be hosting a major event.
Lasizwe has been hyping up a big announcement that he will be making on social media to all the sweeries, and he has finally let the cat out of the bag.
Taking to Instagram, Lasizwe revealed that he will be hosting Comedy Central’s Mini Roast which will be happening soon. The channel has hosted many roasts in the past of popular celebs including the likes of AKA, Somizi and more.
On this prestigious night, celebrities and comedians prepare scathing and insulting comedy jokes at the expense of a guest of honour. The event is hosted by a Roast Master who also takes a jab at the attendees but this time it will be a little different.
Comedy Central describes the Mini Roast as an evolution of its classic Roast franchise. In a year where COVID has impacted live events and the opportunity to host the brand’s flagship Roast, the Mini Roast is an exciting spin-off that will be hosted by Lasizwe Dambuza.
The show is a four-part series which debuted on DStv 122 Monday, November 8th, and sees Lasizwe unpack issues around cancel culture, the Gen Z vs Millennial divide and more.
Lasizwe shared how happy he is to have bagged the gig which he sees as his revenge for all the times that he was dragged. Dambuza let it be known that no topic is off limits and everybody is fair game.
“I am so used to being trolled and roasted on social media so consider this my sweet revenge. Really excited to partner with Comedy Central Africa on this innovative take of the classic Roast which I have grown up watching and loving, no topic will be off-limits, it is a Roast after all! Buckle up and get prepared for Roast like no other, your faves are definitely not safe,” he said.
Fans and followers congratulated Lasizwe and have shared how excited they are to see him throw some major shade at the public.
