Content creator and reality TV star Vuyokazi Nciweni is taking a step towards making a difference in the lives of disadvantaged children through the launch of her own foundation.
The Izingane ZeS’thembu star recently introduced the Vuyokazi Iris Foundation on her social media page, sharing her vision of creating better opportunities for children and schools in need.
Vuyokazi is the CEO of the foundation, but she is not taking on the journey alone. Her partner, Thandoh Bonie Bassah, is also part of the initiative and serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Announcing the launch, Vuyokazi shared a heartfelt message explaining what inspired the foundation and what she hopes to achieve through the initiative.
“A dream that is bigger than me. Today, I’m proud to introduce the Vuyokazi Iris Foundation. A foundation built on love, hope, and the belief that every child deserves a chance to succeed.
Our mission is to support children and disadvantaged schools by helping create better opportunities for learning, growth, and a brighter future.
This is more than a foundation, it’s a commitment to making a difference, one child and one school at a time.
This is only the beginning. May God guide this journey and allow us to touch many lives. Together, we can change lives, one child and one school at a time. May God guide this journey and help us reach those who need us most. We’d appreciate your support.”
The reality TV star also took the opportunity to explain more about the foundation and the people she hopes to help through its work.
According to Vuyokazi, the initiative will focus on supporting young children from disadvantaged backgrounds, particularly those attending schools that lack essential resources.
“We want it help the young kids who are disadvantaged and from disadvantaged schools who need our help. We want to change the country. As someone who grew up in the township, I’ve seen a lot of kids suffer from not having school shoes, not having stationary and not having uniform.”
Her words highlight the personal experiences that have influenced her decision to start the foundation. Having grown up in the township, Vuyokazi says she has witnessed some of the challenges children face when they do not have access to basic school necessities.
Items such as school shoes, stationery and uniforms can make a significant difference in a child’s ability to attend school and participate in everyday learning activities. Through the Vuyokazi Iris Foundation, she hopes to help address some of these challenges while creating opportunities for children to build a brighter future.
The foundation’s launch marks the beginning of a new chapter for Vuyokazi, who is now using her platform to draw attention to the needs of disadvantaged children and schools.
As she expressed in her announcement, the vision is to make a difference one child and one school at a time, with the hope that the foundation will grow and touch many lives
