Once in line to become one of the wives of Mpumelelo Mseleku, son of the renowned polygamist Musa Mseleku, Vuyokazi has now chosen a different path, one filled with love and respect.
Over the weekend, the Eastern Cape saw a joyous celebration as lobola negotiations were completed for Vuyokazi and her new beau, Chef Xolani Sabelo. The couple, deeply in love, are already planning their wedding, marking a fresh start for Vuyokazi. Despite having two children with Mpumelelo, she has firmly closed the chapter of being Mseleku’s mamkhulu (first wife).
In a candid interview with ZiMoja, Vuyokazi opened up about the emotional toll her previous relationship took on her. “The relationship made me feel miserable and worthless,” she confessed. “Mpumelelo’s declaration that his first wife must be a virgin constantly made me doubt my worth. Some of the things he said were shocking and mean.”
