Uzalo’s Nocxy Talks Being Judged For Using Uber Before Buying Her Car! Nocxy Mabika who plays Thobile on Uzalo recently bought herself a brand new BMW, after a long time of being carless and using Uber.
The actress recently opened up about being judged by the public for using Uber when she is on one of the biggest soapies on television. Nocxy says she had a driver for work but would use Uber for everything else. She stated that she didn’t see a problem with it, she felt safe using it. She always made sure that the driver had private hire insurance for Uber drivers, so she knew she was covered should something happen.
“It was a mess, a struggle everyday. People would judge me, they would say ‘she is on TV how can she not have a car? ‘I didn’t care because they don’t know me and what my life is like. They don’t know my struggles at home,” she said.
The actress says she has had to deal with thirsty Uber drivers randomly calling her. “The worst part was Uber drivers had my number from when I called for the Uber and they would message me. My blocked list is over 200 and growing,” she said with a laugh.”
Nocxy went on and bought her dream car as her first car. A whole BMW Series.
“I always said I wanted to own a BMW so why not as my first car? It’s a message to myself to keep working hard and achieve as much as possible. It inspires me. People can say what they want about me getting such a fancy first car. I don’t care.”
