Tyla, who was honoured as one of Glamour’s 2025 Women of the Year, wore a stunning bolero jacket crafted from real mussel shells. The mesmerising piece is from George Trochopoulos’s Autumn/Winter 2025 collection and showcased the designer’s signature creativity. She paired the statement jacket with a low-rise black shredded crochet skirt and strappy sandals, completing the bold look with gold link earrings.
Styled by her go-to stylist Ron Hartleben, Tyla confidently rocked the daring ensemble without a top, showing off her effortless glamour and confidence. Her makeup artist Ngozi Edeme used Chanel products to create a soft yet striking flushed pink look with a metallic smokey eye, while her hairstylist Rachael Banjo styled her hair to perfection, balancing the edgy outfit with elegant beauty.
As part of Glamour UK’s 19th annual Women of the Year Awards, Tyla joined an inspiring group of women who have shaped global culture over the past year. Her inclusion in the lineup highlights her influence not only in music but also in inspiring young women around the world.

In her heartfelt acceptance speech, Tyla reflected on her journey from South Africa to international success.
“When I heard that Glamour wanted to honour me as one of the Women of the Year, I was like ‘what!’” she said. “I feel like this is such a huge title to have, so I’m just very lucky to be here and I thank you guys so much.”
She continued, “When I think of this, all I can think of is like six years ago when I was sitting in this huge bean bag in South Africa back home. At this time I never left my country. I didn’t even have a passport… Even though it seemed impossible, I was really afraid of not trying because I never wanted to look back one day and think what if it actually worked.”
Tyla added, “I knew that I had to try. I knew that I’d rather fail and know than not to try at all and wonder for the rest of my life — and it actually worked. I’m just happy and grateful.”
Tyla’s story and success serve as a powerful reminder that dreams, no matter how big or impossible they seem, can come true with determination and courage.
