In an enlightening 8-minute YouTube interview with Vogue Magazine, Tyla delved into the complexity of her music career, offering fans a glimpse into her wellness and skincare routine while sharing a heartfelt narrative about her journey to success.

 The rising star not only discussed her collaboration with Tems and her expanding fan base but also reflected on the impact of COVID-19 on her career and the joy of winning her first African Performance Grammy. Tyla’s collaboration with Tems emerged in a humorous  moment for her as she revealed , “Tems, I was literally two days away from submitting the album and she sent me this song and I loved it. I told my managers, ‘Please book a studio, this is the last song for the album.'”

The synergy between the two artists resulted in the creation of ‘No.1,’ a track close to Tyla’s heart, resonating as a powerful anthem for girls everywhere.Discussing her rise to prominence during the pandemic, Tyla emphasised the role of social media in connecting with her audience, as this resulted in the beginning of her growing fans.
