Tweeps React To Sithelo Shozi Getting A Gig On A Music Show. The social media influencer and socialite’s appointment as a panel judge on ‘The Masked Singer SA’ has been met with many mixed reactions online.
Since the news was confirmed that Sithelo will hold things down on the new SABC 3’s, ‘The Masked Singer SA’ where she will be working alongside Somizi, J Something and Skhumba, different opinions have been streaming in. Particularly the ones aimed at Sithelo for her television debut.
The show is set to be part of the ‘Masked Singer’ franchise which originally began in South Korea and features celebrities singing songs while wearing head-to-toe costumes and face masks concealing their identities. The South African version will be hosted by Mpho Popps. The show employs panelists who guess the celebrities’ identities by interpreting clues provided to them.
Sithelo recently took to her Instagram to let her followers know that she was going to be on mainstream television and that she will be one of the panelists on the show. She further expressed gratitude for being granted the opportunity.

To be on this platform and work with these incredible people I work with is very mind blowing. I can’t wait for you all to see the show. We are coming to SABC 1 & SABC 3 soon. Many of her enthusiasts took to Twitter to express their happiness and hype her up for the new job. Others went on to add that she was doing well for herself as a mother of three, determined to work hard for herself and her kids. Whilst others weren’t pleased, they believe that the show’s producers should have gotten actual celebs with experience/knowledge in music who know the ins and outs of music and not a social media influencer.
