Tweeps React To Generations’ Actor Musa Ngema Being Fired From The Soapie. The actor commonly known for playing Mazwi Moroka on the soapie has been unceremoniously dismissed for his stubbornness, leading to his anticipated exit to cause a bit of a stir on social media.
It is reported by Zimoja that Generations: The Legacy is parting ways with Musa for being a difficult employee to work with. His difficult personality has also been a problem between his interactions with fellows colleagues and the production team of the soapie.
According to the publication issues arose when he was told to work on his manner of articulation and pronunciation as he had a stutter problem. The request did not yield any positive results, this led to Ngema taking offence to the request. And leading to a more bad attitude. It is said that his character will be killed off, and his exit will be used to welcome back Connie Ferguson and Rapulana Seiphemo, who will make their first appearance at Mazwi Moroka’s funeral as his character is set to be killed off.
Speaking to Zimoja, the production team said that his dismissal was done in a professional and amicable manner saying, “We would like to take this opportunity to address the situation and provide some clarity. As with any long-running television show, the decision to write a character out of the series is never an easy one. The reality is that in a world with so much content, soapies have to let go of some characters and introduce new ones to keep the show interesting and spring surprises in the audience.”
Many tweeps have not particularly received his dismissal well, with some saying that he does indeed exude an intractable personality. Others saying that they found it surprising that he wasn’t difficult all those eight years of working but his difficult nature recently showing up.
