Trevor Noah Claps Back At His R130 Million House Critics! Mzansi didn’t hold back airing their opinions on Trevor Noah buying a R130 million house in New York City. Well, the man himself is in the country and had something to say to his critics.
Trevor told the Fresh Breakfast team that buying the apartment was not a big deal as black twitter made it seem.
“I was just like, it’s funny that people are worried about a house I bought with my own money, when our president is buying houses with our money but people are keeping quiet about that one. So, I tell people I bought two houses, one in Nkandla and one in New York” he said.
Trevor explained that people back home forgot that he earns in a different currency and how the difference between rands and dollars went a long way. He says his apartment was “low end”.
