Thuso Mbedu Makes History After Bagging New Role In A Hollywood Series! Thuso Mbedu has done it again breaking boundaries, making history as she continues her global domination.
Turns out the actress who has been in America, LA apparently for accent training and acting workshop evidently did way more than that. Thuso has been cast as the lead actress for Oscar winning Barry Jenkins’ ‘Underground Railroad’ Series on Amazon.
The Underground Railroad chronicles young Cora’s (played by Thuso) journey as she makes a desperate bid for freedom in the antebellum South. After escaping her Georgia plantation for the rumored Underground Railroad, Cora discovers no mere metaphor, but an actual railroad full of engineers and conductors, and a secret network of tracks and tunnels beneath the Southern soil.
