Gigi Lamayne is no stranger to the spotlight. The award-winning musician, rapper, singer, songwriter, and reality TV star has always been a force to be reckoned with. But even with all her accolades, she’s far from resting on her laurels. “There’s lots more to be done and lots more to celebrate,” Lamayne confidently declares, embodying her relentless drive and passion for growth.

In a candid interview with Sowetan LIVE, Gigi Lamayne opened up about her latest venture, Gigiverse—a new online platform designed to give her fans an exclusive, unfiltered look into her life and career. “#GigiVerse is a new insight into the drama, life, and times of yours truly,” she explains, emphasising that it’s “raw, unscripted, and breaks all the rules.” It’s clear that Gigi Lamayne isn’t just about making music; she’s about creating connections, pushing boundaries, and staying true to herself.

Beyond her musical prowess, Gigi Lamayne is also a proud brand ambassador for Chateau Del Rei, the sparkling wine that has become a favourite among many. Her journey with the brand began as a fan—someone who loved the product and felt a genuine connection with it. “I genuinely love their products, and I’m proud to represent a brand that aligns with my values and tastes,” she shares.

As the conversation unfolds, it’s evident that Gigi Lamayne’s passion for life goes beyond her career. She reminisces about her childhood, drawing inspiration from her mother, whom she considers her hero. “Watching her work hard and overcome challenges taught me the value of perseverance and resilience,” Gigi Lamayne reflects, highlighting the deep-rooted values that have shaped her journey.

Her love for performance traces back to her school days, where talent shows ignited her passion for the stage. “Those early performances fueled my passion for a career in music,” she says, smiling at the memory.

Yet, Gigi Lamayne isn’t just about music. She’s a woman of many talents, some of which might surprise her fans. “One of my hidden talents is cooking,” she reveals. “It’s a creative outlet for me that’s quite different from making music. I am still learning how to bake, though, so if anyone has any hacks, I am willing to learn.”

When asked who she’d switch lives with for a day, Gigi Lamayne’s  answer is swift: Beyoncé. “She is an incredible artist and businesswoman, and I would love to experience her world and learn from her work ethic and creative process,” Gigi Lamayne enthuses, clearly inspired by the global superstar.

But behind the ambition and artistry, Gigi Lamayne knows the importance of balance. “Balancing my personal life with my professional commitments requires a lot of planning and time management,” she admits, underscoring the importance of self-care and time with loved ones.

In her downtime, Gigi Lamayne enjoys exploring the outdoors, learning about aquatic life, and discovering affordable tourist destinations around South Africa. She’s also a fan of hosting game nights with friends—30 Seconds being a personal favourite.

With Gigiverse, her music, and her numerous other ventures, she’s just getting started. And as she so aptly put it, there’s indeed “lots more to be done and lots more to celebrate.”
