Thembisa Mdoda Scores New Hosting Gig And We’re Here For It! Thembisa really cemented herself as a TV host when she took over ‘Our Perfect Wedding’ for two years. Fans of the show not only tuned in for the couples and the drama that comes with planning a wedding but for Thembisa’s charm and style.
When Thembisa unexpectedly left the hit reality show, she revealed that it was because she felt unappreciated. “If I feel that I am not seen and I feel that they no longer care, then I am going to go. Literally, when we had negotiations I felt I needed to go… As someone who studied drama and who appreciated the work I do, I am not going to lie, I didn’t feel appreciated,” she told Gareth Cliff in an interview back in 2017.
Now Thembisa is back with a bang with another hosting show after being scooped by BET Africa. The seasoned TV star is set to host a wedding show that will give thirteen lucky brides an opportunity to choose a wedding dress of their dreams.
The show is called 2 Families and a Wedding Dress and it premieres Wednesday, 24 July at 21:30 BET (DStv channel 129). Congrats to Thembisa!
