Reality TV star Nozipho Ntshangase, known from The Mommy Club, is going through a tough time after her husband of 17 years, Zola Ntshangase, officially took a second wife.
In a statement shared back in March 2024, Zola confirmed that he was in the process of marrying another woman. He explained that lobola (traditional bride price) negotiations were taking place at the time. “I have noted the media outroar and backlash misdirected towards the name of my soon-to-be second wife, Ms Misokuhle. The disparaging remarks levelled at Ms Misokuhle are tantamount to unfair treatment characterised by abuse and stigmatisation,” Zola said in the statement.
Now, the marriage is official. According to The Citizen, this past weekend Zola tied the knot in a traditional wedding ceremony with his 25-year-old bride, Misokuhle Nomsheshe. Photos and videos from the event, which looked very lavish and joyful, were shared by Misokuhle on Instagram. She appeared happy and proud of the celebration.
However, the news has upset many people on social media — especially fans of The Mommy Club who remember how deeply hurt Nozipho was by Zola’s decision. In an emotional scene from season two of the reality show, Nozipho opened up about how the decision to bring a second wife into the marriage had affected her and her children.

“The plan has changed, and I find that this plan has changed only to bring me pain and to bring my kids pain,” Nozipho said while crying. “So, I am not happy with the plan, and I don’t think it’s fair because what am I going to do?”
She spoke from the heart, reflecting on the life she and Zola had built over nearly two decades. “You spend 17 years building with someone, you spend your whole life not having to worry if someone will be there for birthdays and Christmases,” she continued. “You spend the rest of your life planning that when we are both 50 years old, we are going to do this and that — and then suddenly, out of nowhere, the plan changes.”
Her words touched many viewers, and now that the wedding has taken place, many are expressing sadness and support for Nozipho, while others are defending the cultural right to polygamy.
This moment marks a big change in Nozipho’s personal life — one that has played out both on television and in real life, leaving fans hoping she finds healing and strength in the days ahead.
