The Kingdom Actor Thapelo Maropefela Has Died. 2021 has seen the loss of many actors that are both young and old and unfortunately the industry has just lost yet another talented entertainer. It has been confirmed that The Kingdom actor Thapelo Maropefela has died and the news has come as a shock for many people.
The actors sister Kamo Maropefela shared the news on social media on Sunday via her twitter account, expressing how hurt she is by her brother’s passing as they had made many plans to spend his birthday together. The actor passed away on the eve of his birthday.
“Friends and Family, unfortunately my little brother, Thapelo Maropefela, left us is the early hours of today. Please give my family and I some space to process and arrange everything”
“What pains me the most is, he never spends his birthday at home This year, he assured my mom he was gonna be home for his birthday Unfortunately he didn’t make it. He left us, on the eve of his Birthday. I just can’t. I cannot ” she wrote.
Kamo did not reveal the actors cause of death but in a cryptic tweet where she apologizes to him for what “they did” to him which was not fair, it seems like a few people maybe responsible for his unfortunate death. Friends and fans have since been mourning the actors passing on social media and have offered their condolences to all his loved ones.
Thapelo first came into the acting space with his role on movies including Heaven Reaches Down To Earth, and finally got his big break after bagging a TV gig on SABC 1’s The Kingdom where he played the role of Kagiso. He has done commercials for brands such as Pick N Pay, and Burger King.
