The Fergusons In Panic Mode As The Queen Mzansi Production Halts Due To Lockdown! The entertainment industry has been heavily disturbed as many productions were put on hold for the twenty-one days and newly extended period.
Mzansi Magic’s drama series The Queen is headed to a calamity as the show is slowly but surely running out of episodes to air. The Fergusons are faced with a dilemma as they quickly have to ready a plan B as Connie Ferguson has revealed that the popular show has only enough episodes to air in the first week of May. Connie who is part of the cast of the production as well as the producer is in a panic as they will have to work double time in order to catch up.
According to the actress, the contracts of the cast are said to expire at the end of May and it has been a nightmare for her to renew them without confirmation of the lockdown coming to an end.
Ferguson told The Sunday Times that she is certain that they will not be able to deliver by the end of the month because there is a lot that goes in to the production of the show behind the scenes. This could affect the production company as a whole but more importantly how they are going to be of help to the people.
“We will not be able to deliver that content by the end of May. There’s so much going on behind the scenes. We are thinking about how we’re going to survive as a company, but not only that, we are thinking how are we going to help our people,” Connie said.
The Queen is one of Mzansi’s most loved soapies with one of the highest ratings and we hope they can quickly do damage control before the show finds themselves in a rut.
