Actress, radio presenter and accountant Thato Immaculate has given fans a closer look at another side of her career, revealing that she now works as an accountant full time.
The multi-talented media personality recently shared a short video on Instagram showing part of her daily work routine. In the clip, she is seen getting ready for work and spending time at her desk working on her computer. She captioned the post: “I’m an accountant full time.”
While many people know Thato Immaculate for her work in entertainment, she explained that accounting has always been a major part of her professional journey.
In the video, she said: “I’ve never actually done one of these. I’ve actually been an accountant for nine years. I’ve had nine years of experience total, I did articles for three years, then I was an accountant. I’ve got audit experience and accounting.”
Her revelation surprised many followers, especially those who only knew her as an actress and radio presenter.
In March 2026, Thato Immaculate left Metro FM after spending two years at the radio station. Although she is no longer on air, she made it clear that her accounting career has continued to grow alongside her work in the entertainment industry.
The comment section of her post also sparked an interesting discussion about money in the entertainment industry. One follower, thandzjulz, commented: “This proves radio does not pay. Entertainment industry has no money. Happy for you! Smart girl!”
However, Thato Immaculate quickly corrected that perception.
“Quite the contrary actually, radio pays consistently as compared to acting /influencing. The longer you’ve been on radio the more you get paid. I did radio and accounting ( that’s why I worked on weekends ). Yep not a lot of money in entertainment so multiple streams of income is they key,” she replied.
Her response highlighted the importance of having more than one source of income, especially in an industry where acting and influencing opportunities can be unpredictable.
Beyond her entertainment career, Thato Immaculate has an impressive academic background. She holds a BCom in Chartered Accountancy as well as an Honours degree in Financial Accountancy, qualifications that have helped her build a successful career in finance.
Earlier this year, on 21 January 2026, she celebrated a major professional milestone by marking nine years since qualifying as an accountant. Looking back on her journey, she reflected on how far she has come while balancing demanding careers in finance and entertainment.
She wrote: “This year I celebrate 9 years as an accountant, 6 years ago l obtained my professional designation after completing 3 years of external audit articles all while auditioning, doing radio, Tik Tok I don’t know where I got the energy honestly. Here’s to a dream realized, a prayer answered sometimes the motivation to go forward comes from taking a moment and looking back at just how far you have come. There are things you have today that probably were a prayer 9 years ago, take a look!”
Thato Immaculate’s journey serves as a reminder that success can come from pursuing more than one passion. While many know her from television and radio, her latest post has shown that accounting remains an important part of who she is, proving that it is possible to build a career both in entertainment and in the corporate world.
