Thando Thabethe Quits Radio After 11 Years! Thando Thabethe is hanging up her mic and it looks like it’s for good. After landing her dream job hosting a prime time show on 5FM, Thando is saying peace out to radio altogether.
Thando took to social media announcing her departure from 5FM and radio. “And so, I’ve dropped the mic …after 6 years at 5FM and 11 years in radio, this is it. Hardest day of my life…but most beautiful! Thank you to everyone that has been instrumental in my career thus far… Mostly thank you to everyone that’s listened to my show, thank you for your company, your time and all the love and support you’ve shown me, I’m nothing without you”, she shared.
Thando plans to focus on her first love, acting. She spoke to Channel 24 about her plans saying, “I start shooting Housekeepers season 2 on Friday, and we’re broadening horizons into the world in that sphere.” Thando’s final radio show will be on the 5th of March, this coming Thursday.
