It seems like Thando Thabethe is always taking on the role of a go getter that’s bound to make it when she takes on an acting role, actress , TV and radio presenter Thando Thabethe will be taking on the role of a township girl in Generations: The Legacy who is bound to make a name for herself.
Thando has officially joined the cast of Generations: The Legacy in which she will be playing Nolwazi, a girl born and raised in the township. Looks like a busy 2015 for Miss Thabethe.
Thando says that she has watched Generations for years and she is very excited that she gets to be a part of it’s future.
“I’m really excited to be joining the biggest soapie in the country, especially as it starts its new journey as Generations: The Legacy. I’ve already been privileged enough to star alongside the talent that is Manaka Ranaka and I’m so thrilled with the reception both the cast and crew have given me so far.
“I am an actress through and through and cannot wait to show South Africa what I’m capable of. I even had to cut my hair for this role. I literally sobbed, but that is how invested I am in depicting Nolwazi,” Thado says.
She has previously appeared on Mzansi Love: Kasi Style, Intersexions, My Perfect Family and Kowethu. Her TV presenting gigs include Club 808 and SABC1’s reality TV show 1’s & 2’s.
Thando will continue with her other day jobs that include co-hosting 5FM’s drive-time show with Roger Goode on weekdays as well as her own show on Sunday from 10am-2pm. As we said it’s a busy 2015 for Thando.

Nolwazi is a young girl who grew up in the township. She’s educated and has a fascination for people different from her and her background, so she moves comfortably amongst rich, educated and powerful people.
She reads and is well spoken. In any room, she’s the one with the brightest smile, the most confident and she never apologises for her presence. She is passionate, intelligent, playful, witty and lively.
Nolwazi is not one for drama and would rather focus on achieving her goals and getting ahead than being involved in conflict. But when disrespected or provoked, she is hot-tempered and you’ll see her claws if you step out of line.
She’s loyal to her friends and expects exactly the same from them. Those who are loyal will always be rewarded with warmth. She is a great gal pal and will destroy anyone who betrays her or hurts the people she loves.
