The late radio icon Thabiso Sikwane will be cremated in a private ceremony, as announced by her family. In a statement released on Wednesday, September 4, the family confirmed the details of her memorial service and funeral, which will take place on Friday, September 6, 2023, at 3C Ministries Church in Irene, Centurion, starting at 9 a.m.
The family expressed their desire for a vibrant celebration of Thabiso’s life, asking mourners to wear “African bright” attire instead of traditional black. “The dress code is African bright, strictly no black,” the family stated, emphasising the importance of honouring Thabiso’s legacy with colour and joy.
Thabiso Sikwane, a beloved voice on radio stations such as SAfm, PowerFM, and KayaFM 959, passed away on Saturday, August 31. Her death, which came just a month after she celebrated her 50th birthday on July 3, shocked and saddened the nation, particularly as it marked a heartbreaking close to Women’s Month.
