Terry Pheto to star as Winnie Mandela in a new series. Finally, someone listened. For so long South Africans have wanted Terry Pheto to portray Winnie Mandela in all the spin offs movies made about Nelson Mandela. Although it’s a mini series, we can’t wait to see Terry shine like a star she is.
Terry will star with Hollywood actor Lawrence Fishburne, in the US mini-series Madiba. Terry is joined by fellow South African actor Hlomla Dandala who will portray the role of Thabo Mbeki’s late father, Govan Mbeki while Orlando Jones will star as Oliver Tambo.
The six-hour mini-series titled Madiba is said to be released in 2016 and is based on two books written by Nelson Mandela; Conversations With Myself and Nelson Mandela By Himself.
