Springbok fly-half Manie Libbok tied the knot with his high school sweetheart, Verna-Lee Arries, in a beautiful and intimate ceremony on Saturday, October 5th, in Mossel Bay. The couple exchanged vows at the scenic Seeplaas venue in Groot Brakrivier, with breathtaking ocean views setting the perfect backdrop for their special day.
According to IOL, Verna-Lee looked stunning in a simple yet elegant figure-hugging white gown with a square neckline and train, while her makeup remained natural, and her hair was styled in a low bun. Manie, 27, complemented her look in a camel suit with a matching bowtie, adding a touch of sophistication to the event. The bridal party and guests all donned black, creating a striking and stylish theme for the celebration.
During the reception, the bride made a quick outfit change, slipping into a short, voluminous dress with a dramatic bow on the back, paired with silver heels, as captured in a video shared by You Magazine.
It didn’t take long for Verna-Lee to change her surname on social media, now proudly going by Mrs. Libbok. Reflecting on their love story, Verna-Lee shared with You Magazine, “He seemed to me like someone who knows what he wants.” Manie’s dedication was evident even back in school, where he joined the choir just to be close to her.
The couple, who began dating in 2016, got engaged in July 2023 at the Klein Roosboom Boutique Winery in Cape Town, and now, after years of love and commitment, they embark on this exciting new chapter together as husband and wife.
