On June 19, 2024, South Africa will witness the inauguration of its seventh democratically elected President, Cyril Ramaphosa, following a successful election on May 29, 2024. The ceremony, themed “30 years of Democracy; Partnership and Growth,” emphasises the collective effort required to build a brighter future for the nation. This significant event will be held at the Union Buildings in Pretoria.

The inauguration marks the beginning of the President’s term in office with a formal swearing-in ceremony conducted by Chief Justice Raymond Zondo in the Nelson Mandela Amphitheatre. The President-elect will take the oath of office and sign the swearing-in certificate, witnessed by several Heads of State, government officials, eminent persons, and South Africans.

The event is not just a political milestone but a celebration of South Africa’s democratic journey and a call to action for all citizens to contribute to reducing poverty, inequality, and unemployment. President-elect Cyril Ramaphosa’s address will outline his vision and goals for the country, reinforcing the theme of unity and progress.

South African celebrities are joining the celebration, standing in solidarity with the nation’s aspirations for a better future. TV personality and rapper Boity Thulo, musician Makhadzi, and public figure Nandi Madida are among the notable attendees, demonstrating their support for the country’s democratic achievements and commitment to positive change.

As the country embarks on this new chapter, the involvement of influential figures underscores the shared goal of fostering growth and partnership for a prosperous tomorrow.
