South African Social Media Stars Shine at the 2024 Awards

The South African Social Media Awards 2024 lit up Mosaiek Lifestyle on Saturday, November 23, 2024. Hosted by TV and radio star Zanele Potelwa alongside MC Weza Matome, the glamorous event honoured the country’s biggest social media talents.

Mihlali Ndamase was named African Social Media Star of the Year, further solidifying her reputation as a beauty and lifestyle influencer. Another standout moment came when Makhadzi’s hit song “Mapara”, featuring Babethe Gaoshazen, won Popular SA Song on Social Media. Rugby icon Siya Kolisi took home Social Media Sports Personality of the Year.

Singer Liyema Pantsi enjoyed a big night, winning two awards: Social Media Beauty Influencer of the Year and Popular Hashtag on Social Media. Overwhelmed with gratitude, she shared a heartfelt post online: “2 awards, WHAT!! 🌸🌸🌸🌸THIS IS FOR YOU !!!!”

Zintle Mofokeng, crowned Vlogger of the Year, also expressed her appreciation,m,l, writing:

“Thank you for believing in me, for inspiring me, and for being a part of this incredible journey. I am beyond grateful. This is just the beginning.”

The night also celebrated winners like Zille Wizzy, Ghost Hlubi, Seemah, Fikile Zungu, and Tsatsii Madiba. It was an unforgettable event that shone a spotlight on South Africa’s social media stars.
