In a glamorous affair fit for the highest echelons of society, Johannesburg played host to the exclusive South African premiere of “Bridgerton’s” prequel spin-off, “Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.” The event, themed ‘Regency Era Splendour: Into The Spotlight’, transported attendees back in time to the lavish world of the beloved Netflix series.

Celebrities and personalities, both local and international, graced the occasion adorned in regal attire, each outfit competing for the title of the evening’s most exquisite ensemble. From former Miss South Africa Jo-Ann Strauss to actress Golda Rosheuvel, who portrays the titular Queen Charlotte, the red carpet was a showcase of elegance and sophistication.

The six-part series promises to delve into the youthful romance between a vibrant Queen Charlotte, portrayed by India Amarteifio, and King George of England, igniting an epic love story that would shape high society forever.

Among the luminaries in attendance were models Sarah Langa and Blue Mbombo, TV personality Minnie Dlamini, and actress Thembi Seete, adding their own touch of glamour to the affair. Nigerian actors Lilian Afegbai and Kunle Remi, as well as reality TV stars Mercy Eke and Erica Ngozi Nlewedim, brought an international flair to the event, highlighting the widespread appeal of the Bridgerton universe.

Guiding guests through the enchanting evening was South African actress and host Dineo Moeketsi, whose charisma illuminated the stage for the grand premiere of Bridgerton Season 3. With anticipation building and excitement in the air, the event promised an unforgettable journey into the opulent world of romance, intrigue, and Regency-era splendour.
