Somizi Turns Down Offer To Host SAMAs 2018

Somizi killed it hosting the South African music Awards for the second time this past weekend. If the queen of LIVE hosting Bonang tweeted he was the highlight of the whole show. Still, Somizi turns down offer to host SAMAs 2018.

Speaking to his co-hosts during the Fresh Breakfast, Somizi revealed the SAMA producers and CEO were impressed with Somizi’s hosting skills that they immediately offered him the gig to host the SAMA24 but he declined.

“The producer and the CEO came to me and said you were amazing, you’ve given us no choice but to have you back next year,’ I said no,” he said on the show.

Somizi says he believes in the saying, ‘a lady knows when to leave a room’, he might consider coming back but no soon.

“I’m a believer in [the saying] winners know when to stop, so I told them ‘miss me a little bit, skip a year maybe’ and I will come back,” he said.

One thing is for sure, whoever gets to do it next year has a tough act to follow.
