Somizi Reportedly Owes SARS Over R2 Million In Unpaid Taxes! According to Sunday World, SARS obtained judgment against the the media personality for failing to pay more than R2.2-million. The amount has allegedly increased to almost R2.5-million after it accrued interests between 2016 and 2017.

The publication reveals that the news was brought to light by an accountant who is privy to Somizi’s tax books.

On the other side Somizi has been flaunting a fancy lifestyle on his reality show often leaving viewers in owe. From million rand mansions to R25k shoes, the SA Idols judge is living large.

“Carry on then, I can’t talk to you right now. Your timing sucks,” Somizi told Sunday World upon being asked about his tax woes.

“SARS is bound by the confidentiality clause of section 16 that forbids the organization to divulge or discuss taxpayers’ affairs. This is in line with the Tax Administration Act of 2011,” SARS spokesman Sandile Memela said on the matter.
