Somizi Mhlongo has voiced his frustration with Fly SAA’s  business class seats, calling them out for offering little difference from economy class. The media personality shared his disappointment on social media, posting a photo of the seats and writing:

“So this is business class. Seats are same size as in economy class. But double the price. Pls make it make sense my dearest @flysaa coz I really wanna support u.”

His post sparked a lively debate in the comments section, with followers and fellow celebrities sharing their thoughts.

Award-winning TV and radio broadcaster Andile Ncube added a humorous take, saying, “Fell for this once. They leave the middle seat open so you don’t have to share with 2 other people but just 1, and allow you in 1st and off 1st.”

Actor Bohang Moeko shed some light on the issue, explaining, “This is how the airlines make most of their money on domestic flights. Business class and ‘Premium’ economy tickets. They make you pay so much more but the value you get is not worth it. International flights is where you really get your money’s worth.”

Award-winning activist Yaya Mavundla also joined the conversation, pointing out the minimal differences: “Lol! They really are funny. Just because they gonna serve you Jonny Walker and have a curtain to separate you from business class, they think YES! No man. I believe in @lift_sa EVERYDAY!”

One follower tried to explain the seating configuration, commenting, “Seats are the same coz of the jet configuration but the service will be different from economy.” Somizi was quick to reply, “I pay more for comfort, not for the smile and steel cutlery.”
