Social Media Not Impressed With Bonang’s New Partnership With Nivea. It looks like Queen B* is back in Mzansi as her base after a stint in New York to further her career by pursuing new opportunities. Over the last couple of months we’ve seen Bonang’s return to TV hosting when she took over the DSTV AMVCAs in Nigeria and Showmax’s ‘Real Housewives of Lagos in Johannesburg.
The TV personality turned entrepreneur has only been focusing on her MCC brand for the past few years however it seems she’s back to the world of influencing. Her latest partnership is with skin care brand Nivea. This comes after she asked her fans on twitter for a good skin care brand, which seems like it was already a set-up for the collaboration.
Bonang unveiled her new partnership a sharing a video of herself using the products. In the video, a dolled up Bonang can be seen applying a cream on top a full face beat. Watch below.
Whilst her stans congratulated her on the new partnership, critics didn’t waste time pointing out the obvious. Tweeps felt the advert was misleading considering Bonang was wearing a full face of make up. Some felt Bonang should have not been wearing makeup, others felt the brand could have found an influencer who doesn’t mind showing their bare face considering Bonang’s reputation about wearing her bareface in public. Others expressed how it’s right on Nivea’s brand to be misleading in their advertising.
Here’s how tweeps feel about Bonang and Nivea SA’s collaboration.
