Skeem Saam’s Cedric Fourie Responds To Homophobic Tweets Calling Him ‘A Waste’! The actor is a straight man who fully and publicly supports the LGBTQI community.
After he attended the Feathers Awards on Thursday hand in hand with Lasizwe who is gay, to show his support to the community, some female tweeps thought he was gay and called him a “waste” because he’s handsome.
The tweets went viral and Cedric had ignored the ignorant tweets until Sunday when he took to twitter clapping back.
“Imagine some women/men calling my son a “waste” one day should he be gay (because he’s flame as it is) people need to be reminded that there are people who get killed for being who they are, imagine! Then y’all want to bad mouth the LGBTQI+ community,” he lashed out.

The actor shared how the experience had opened his eyes about what gay men go through.
“Lol this experience has taught me a lot. Gay men are being called “waste” by some bitter women who’ve just realized they’ll never have them. As if they’d have them if they were not gay. I will never stop being an ally to the LGBTQI+ community ninyile.”
