Skeem Saam Shuts Down As Production Member Tests Positive For COVID-19. Panic has ensued on the set of one of SABC 1’s most watched drama soapies as the Corona virus has made its way to the production of Skeem Saam.

Although the COVID-19 safety regulations have been strictly placed in every production, there’s still no way to ensure that the cast and crew members will stay protected from the virus outside of the set which is how a crew member of the production was exposed to the virus.

The production has released a statement saying because of a crew member who was in direct contact with a relative who has the virus, they are forced to shut down production until further notice.

The crew and cast that have been in direct contact with the infected member have been tested and are waiting for their results.

The remaining crew and cast have been asked to self quarantine while testing is still being arranged and the offices and studios will be thoroughly sanitized and disinfected.

Many productions have been disrupted or halted because of a crew or cast member who is at risk of infection or has already been exposed to the virus forcing production to shut down in concern of other members.
