Radio personality Sizwe Dhlomo has opened up about some of the biggest headlines and controversies in his career, including his thoughts on Unathi Nkayi’s ongoing court case and his social media feud with Vusi Thembekwayo.
Speaking on rapper L-Tido’s podcast, Dhlomo, who now hosts at Kaya 959, gave his take on Nkayi’s legal battle with the radio station. According to Sunday World, Dhlomo shared his belief that Nkayi is likely to lose her case. “She is going through her [Unathi] case; it has got nothing to do with me, all the best. She is likely going to lose it though; I have all the evidence on everything,” he said.
Dhlomo explained that as part of his professional routine, he keeps a record of every show he does. “Every show I have ever done, I have the recordings. Every day when I do a show, I get sent a copy of it and save it in the archives. This is just so that if anyone comes up with something,” he added.
Unathi Nkayi’s legal struggle began after her contract with Kaya 959 was terminated in 2021, following an alleged verbal altercation with Dhlomo. Her case, which initially went through arbitration, is now being heard in the high court, where she’s suing the radio station for wrongful termination. At the time of her dismissal, Nkayi expressed confidence in her case, stating, “I have some very powerful and wealthy people who have backed me up… finances are not going to be my issue.”
