Award-winning actress Sindi Dlathu is making headlines once again, this time for becoming the highest-paid actress in Mzansi as she joins eTV’s Isiphetho: Destiny. According to sources, Black Brain Productions entered into negotiations with Dlathu three months ago, where she demanded no less than R200k per month.

“You must remember she comes from The River, where she was already the highest-paid actress, so it’s a no-brainer that she would want more on Isiphetho. She’s aware of the fact that she will bring numbers to the show, and the show’s executive producer, Mandla N, agreed to it,” a source told Zimoja.

Reported by ZiMoja, another insider added, “The negotiations were private, and it took a while for the agreement to be reached. The channel also wanted her because they know that she’s a big star who can attract viewers, which means revenue.”

Dlathu’s career spans over two decades, and her new role as Zanemvula promises to make waves. While details about her character remain under wraps, a third source hinted, “She comes across as a good person but is cunning. Her presence will be pivotal on the show, and she knows her name alone will draw in audiences.”

The show’s executive producer, Mandla N, expressed his excitement about working with Dlathu for the first time. “I’m very honoured to be working with her. She joined the show at the end of last year, and we’ve been shooting with her so far. I can’t discuss people’s contracts,” he said.

With her star power and experience, Sindi Dlathu is set to elevate Isiphetho: Destiny to new heights.
