Sinaye Kotobe, a finalist on “Big Brother Mzansi: S’ya Mosha,” has realized his dream of becoming a sports broadcaster. Yesterday, Sinaye appeared on SABC Sport alongside the award-winning TV and radio broadcaster Andile Ncube, marking a significant milestone in his burgeoning career.
During his time in the “Big Brother Mzansi” house, Sinaye was vocal about his ambition to venture into broadcasting, with a particular focus on sports shows and podcasting. His determination has paid off, as he recently joined Borgat Radio, where he hosts a new show called “Echoes of the City,” airing weekdays from 11:00 to 13:00.
On social media platform X, Sinaye expressed his excitement and nerves about the experience, posting, “I have never been so nervous in my damn life, Ingathi bendiyokoluka.” The post garnered support from his fans, who praised his performance.
One proud fan commented, “First time without a script, you actually did good. Andile Ncube is the right mentor; he gave you the challenge, and you took it like a man. I feel like he wanted to see how determined you are. The last part was kinda cute, never laughed like that.”
Another fan added, “You did well. I hope you’re proud of yourself. We, your supporters and cheerleaders, are VERY proud.”
Sinaye’s debut on SABC Sport was on “Sport@10,” an award-winning magazine show that informs, entertains, and builds the hype around various sporting codes. The show features athletes, coaches, officials, and celebrities, providing a comprehensive wrap-up of the week’s sports highlights. It airs every Wednesday at 22:00, with repeats on Thursdays at 12:00 PM on SABC 1.
Even Andile Ncube acknowledged Sinaye’s efforts, tweeting, “Ay’ how did I miss this !?! When @_papaghost told me your dreams and asked me to give you a leg up, I had no idea of your hustle! All the best, boi, and thanks for the SUPER laugh.”
Sinaye Kotobe’s journey from a reality TV contestant to a sports broadcaster is an inspiring story of determination and passion, proving that dreams can indeed come true with hard work and the right opportunities.
