Truth be told, one way or another your character’s role on a soapie has to come to an end eventually. Simphiwe Ngema’s character, Thuli in Muvhango has reportedly been written off the script.

Sunday Sun reports that Simphiwe stopped shooting with the soapie about two weeks ago. It’s said that the producers described her character as “useless”.

Speaking to the publication, Muvhango’s publicist Amanda Ngudle confirmed that Simphiwe will no longer appear on the soapie.

“She won’t shoot with production for the whole season. Scriptwriters are responsible for her character. They found out that it’s not that attractive, but that doesn’t mean she won’t appear any more. She stopped shooting with production two weeks ago and will be appearing till March next year,” Amanda explained.

The talented actress declined to comment on the matter. Well we hope we see her on our screens soon, but don’t worry too much. She’ll only be leaving in March 2016.

Talk about shooting ahead!
