Singer Simmy, real name Simphiwe Nhlangulela, has joined forces with Nkosazana Daughter for her latest single, “Amazwe,” delivering a powerful expression of feminine strength across diverse musical dimensions.
Simmy, known for her successful collaborations with Sun EL Musician and Kabza Da Small, shared with TshisaLIVE that this partnership was long overdue. “For more than two years, I’ve been admiring her work, and I’m glad we’ve met to create a song. The song speaks about irreplaceable love. We met and were going on about how we needed to create something together, and we stayed in contact,” Simmy explained. “Two years down the line, I asked her to please pull through at the studio. She got there, and in less than an hour she effortlessly added her vocals.”
Nkosazana Daughter echoed Simmy’s enthusiasm, saying, “Simmy is one of the few female artists I’ve always had the utmost respect for, and her creativity is continuously evolving. Our collaboration is something we have both waited for and looked forward to. Not only was it an honour to finally be in the studio with her, but it was also easy. Working with her was a breeze.
