Netflix has officially given the go-ahead for the second season of Savage Beauty, with production already in full swing. Fans can mark their calendars for the new season’s premiere on June 28, 2024.

Savage Beauty,  created by Lebogang Mogashoa and produced by Quizzical Pictures, first captivated audiences in May 2022 with its six-episode debut. The series follows Zinhle, a mysterious young woman with a tragic past, played by Rosemary Zimu. Driven by a relentless desire for revenge, Zinhle infiltrates the powerful Bhengu family, who control a global beauty empire, to uncover their dark secrets and bring them to justice for a heinous crime.

Returning cast members include Dumisani Mbebe, Nthati Moshesh, Angela Sithole, Jesse Suntele, Nambitha Ben-Mazwi, and Oros Mampofu. Oros Mampofu portrays Ndu Bhengu, the youngest sibling poised to inherit the Bhengu legacy, while Nambitha Ben-Mazwi plays Linda Bhengu, the cherished daughter from Don Bhengu’s previous relationship, who finds herself at odds with her stepmother.

Tragically, the new season will be missing Mpho Sebeng, who passed away in a car accident on May 5, 2024. Sebeng’s absence will be deeply felt by both the cast and fans.

In other Netflix news, the romantic comedy The Vow is set to debut on May 29. Featuring Tumi Morake, Kenny Nkosi, Lungile Radu, Lehasa Moloi, and Nqobile Nunu, the film promises to be a delightful blend of laughs and love. Tumi Morake describes it as “a fantastic movie, it’s funny and it’s about love,” making it a perfect pick for a heartwarming watch.

Get ready for a summer filled with suspense and drama with Savage Beauty’s return, and don’t miss the charming romance of The Vow on Netflix.
