SAMRO Finally Fires Arthur Mafokate! In a statement, Samro says its board met this week to discuss Arthur Mafokate’s position as board member.
Mafokate has been removed from his position as non-executive director of the Southern African Music Rights Organisation (SAMRO) board.
“In the SAMRO board meeting held on the 28 June of 2018, the board resolved that notice be given to Mr Mafokate of the decision to initiate the process to remove him from the SAMRO board as a non-executive director,” SAMRO said in a statement.
This comes after Mafokate’s ex girlfriend singer Cici laid assault charges against him.
