SA Idols Officially Cut Ties With Somizi Mhlongo Following Alleged Abuse Allegations. It seems like things are continuing to spiral down for veteran TV star Somizi Mhlongo following a viral audio clip of his estranged husband making abuse allegations against him. The leaked audio influenced the decision of platforms such as Idols SA and Metro FM to give the reality star a break to sort out his personal issues.
The Daily Sun publication has now reported that the popular singing competition has decided to officially cut ties with Somizi. It appears that an array of guest judges will be joining Idols judges Unathi Nkayi and Randall Abrahams every week to help them find South Africa’s next big star. According to the platform the guest judges will be announced weekly via the platforms social media accounts.
“Their new voices are certainly going to add new flavour to the feedback given to the Idols SA season 17 hopefuls” they said.
There have been rumours in the media of good friend Kelly Khumalo being the artist elected to fill in Somizi’s spot on the popular singing competition however, that seems to have just been hopeful thinking for the fans.
The dooming audio clip was an interview between Mohale and producers of Living The Dream With Somizi reality show, where Mohale can be heard revealing how the Abuse started at the beginning of their relationship. Things went south even further when Mohale released a statement confirming the abuse allegations and detailed the number of times that Somizi physically harmed him.
Somizi‘s estranged husband Mohale has confirmed that divorce proceeding are in fact underway however, he had no intention of ruining Somizi’s reputation as the recoding was leaked without his knowledge. The Rockville model and actor made it clear that he is not interested in receiving anything from Somizi apart from his belonging and a replacement car after his car was damaged by him following a tiff that they had.
