SA Celebs React To Former President Jacob Zuma’s Arrest #ZumaArrest. It’s a somber day for many South Africans as the former president of South Africa has officially been arrested. Jacob Zuma has been under trial for months now following the investigation of corruption during his two term presidency.

The Constitutional Court found Zuma guilty of contempt for failing to appear before a commission investigating corruption accusations. The former president had majority of Mzansi show major support against the courts ruling of Zuma handing himself over to serve his 15 month jail sentencing.

Despite the call for Zuma’s pardoning suggesting that without evidence, Zuma was a victim of a conspiracy., the justice system took its course anyway. The police were ordered to arrest Jacob Zuma if he had failed to hand himself over. Zuma has complied with the rules however, he made sure to surrender himself on his own terms.

Mr. Zuma, 79, voluntarily surrendered on Wednesday before midnight. He was driven out of his compound in a long convoy of cars and taken to the Estcourt Correctional Centre. Since the video’s of the president being escourted into the correctional facility became viral, the whole of twitter has been a buzz. Many SA celebs have commented with mixed reactions on the situation.
