SA Celebs Defend Anele Mdoda From Trolls Over Her Oscars Red Carpet Skills! Anele Mdoda hosted the Oscars Red Carpet event for MNet for the second time in a row this year which is huge.

Whilst this is huge for Anele who secured a couple of interviews with the likes of Chalize Theron, James Corden and Janelle Monae but still, not everyone back here at home is impressed. One twitter user posted a clip of Anele trying to get actress Sandra Oh for an interview and called it “embarrassing’.

The clip made rounds on twitter and it didn’t take time before Anele started trending. The media personality defended herself saying that’s the energy needed for a big red carpet like the Oscars.

“Wait so people think A listers go to the Oscars to grant us interviews without us having to fight for them? I screamed Trevor Noah’s name last year to get his attention and I’m his friend. I am glad you lot will never be on that carpet because you would be wasting MNET’s money,” Anele tweeted.

Celebs backed her up telling her she did a great job. Check out what they had to say below.

You did a great job!👏👏👏 That must be one of the toughest assignments and you did great. Most of these celebrities tend to give preference to American networks they are familiar with. These are the challenges we deal with as media people from Africa in America. Good job @Anele!

What people don’t understand is how difficult it is to get interviews with big stars. @Anele was witty, candid and funny!!! She knew everything about the stars and kept it short and relevant!!! This was brilliant!!!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 #Anele
