Rocking the Daisies Cancelled for 2026

Rocking the Daisies has confirmed that it won’t be taking place this year after organisers officially cancelled the 2026 edition of the beloved music festival.

The announcement comes as shocking news to fans and supporters who have followed and supported Rocking the Daisies over the years. The festival has become a major highlight on South Africa’s entertainment calendar, bringing together international and local artists for a weekend of music and unforgettable performances.

In an official statement, organisers explained the difficult decision, saying, “Despite multiple attempts to find solutions, a number of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control have made it impossible for Rocking the Daisies to proceed in 2026.

“This decision was not made lightly, and we extend our gratitude to our family of patrons, artists, partners, and everyone who was looking forward to the festival this year.

“All ticket refunds will be processed automatically, with funds expected to reflect in patrons’ accounts within one to three business days. No action is required from ticket holders.

“While Rocking the Daisies will not be taking place this year, we will be announcing an alternative 1-day show via the IN THE CITY platform across JHB and CPT, featuring a line-up of some of your international and local favourites.

“Tickets go on sale today so stay tuned to the RTD and IN THE CITY platforms for further details.

“Thank you for your continued support-and see you on the dancefloor!”

Although organisers did not confirm if the full lineup will remain the same, Isaiah Rashad is still expected to perform as part of “In The City” alongside several local acts.

However, there has been no confirmation on whether Jorja Smith, who was announced as the festival’s first international headliner earlier this year, will still be making the trip to South Africa.

The festival was also set to feature local favourites including Shekhinah, Lordkez, Nasty C and Mi Casa, making the cancellation even more disappointing for music lovers who were anticipating the 2026 edition.

The cancellation comes just months after “Rocking the Daisies” announced Jorja Smith’s  long-awaited South African debut. The British singer was expected to headline the three-day festival at Cloof Wine Estate from October 2 to 4, while Rashad was also set to make his first-ever performance in the country.

Despite the cancellation, fans could still have something to look forward to, with organisers promising an alternative 1-day show through the IN THE CITY platform in Johannesburg and Cape Town.

Several notable American artists have performed at the Rocking the Daisies music festival in South Africa over the years, including Mac Miller, Kehlani, and Joey Bada$$.

For now, fans will have to wait for more details about the upcoming “In The City” show and whether some of the highly anticipated international and local acts will still take to the stage.
