Behind the glitz and glam of the hit reality show Born Into Fame, real-life drama unfolds as Robbie Malinga Jr., son of the late music legend Robbie Malinga, finds himself at the center of a serious legal battle. Malinga Jr. has reportedly opened a case of intimidation and harassment against Khanya Mtsaka, the girlfriend of DJ Tira’s son, Tank “The Rockstar” Khathi.
According to ZiMoja, the tension allegedly began when Malinga Jr. exposed Khanya for sliding into his DMs, a revelation that didn’t sit well with her. According to a source close to the situation, Khanya’s response was explosive, with insults and threats flying. What started as harsh words quickly escalated into something far more alarming. “He started noticing different cars following him,” the source revealed. Concerned, Malinga Jr. informed his mother, Ann Malinga, who soon found herself followed by the same car, even during school drop-offs.
Khanya allegedly sent threatening text messages, with a source close to Malinga Jr. asking, “How can she follow a young man and start threatening him for something she did?”
Ann Malinga, frustrated and worried for her son’s safety, raised her concerns with the show’s production team and streaming platform. After the threats continued, she persuaded her son to file a criminal case at the Douglasdale Police Station. Gauteng police spokesperson Captain Tintswalo Sibeko confirmed, “A case of intimidation has been opened and investigations are continuing.”
The incident has left Robbie Jr. reconsidering his future on Born Into Fame. “They often pick on him and make fun of him to a point that he doesn’t enjoy being on set anymore,” a source close to the production said, hinting that Malinga Jr. might not return for the show’s second season.
