In a touching tribute to the late gospel sensation Sfiso Ncwane, friends and family gathered clad in white at the Heroes Acre Cemetery in KwaZulu-Natal to honour his memory on what would have been his birthday. The solemn ceremony marked the unveiling of his tombstone, a symbolic gesture of remembrance and celebration of his life.
Sfiso Ncwane, known for his soul-stirring music and unwavering faith, tragically passed away in December 2016 after battling kidney problems. His legacy, however, continues to resonate deeply within the hearts of his loved ones and fans alike.
His wife, Ayanda Ncwane, took to social media to share glimpses of the emotional event, expressing gratitude to all who joined them in honouring her late husband’s memory. With pride, she commended her sons for their involvement in redesigning their father’s tombstone, a touching testament to the enduring bond between father and sons.
“To God be the Glory. Yesterday was a glorious day in our family. Thank you to all who came through for the Unveiling Ceremony ka Bab’Ncwane. Well done boys for redesigning your Dad’s tombstone,” Ayanda captioned the heartfelt post.
However, amidst the outpouring of support and admiration, social media users couldn’t help but notice the absence of Nothile, the daughter of Sfiso Ncwane and Nonku Williams, from the event. Speculation and curiosity mounted as observers questioned the reasons behind her nonattendance, sparking conversations and discussions online.
As the Ncwane family continues to navigate their grief and honour Sfiso’s legacy, the unveiling of his tombstone serves as a poignant reminder of the indelible mark he left on the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
