How things change! From being a top striker for Bafana Bafana, Lungisani Ndlela is now a prison warder in Mpumalanga. Lungisani has been MIA from the spotlight for a while now, turns out he was doing his correctional services studies.
The former striker for Mamelodi Sundowns, Moroka Swallows and SuperSport United has been commended for not feeling pity for himself after his football career ended.
“Lungi has done well for himself. At least he’s got an income, unlike other former soccer stars who prefer to live on handouts”, said one of his friends.
Ndlela is said to be still popular even with the prisoners but he takes his job very seriously.
